In your own words, what did it mean to have Paul alongside you in that season?

Having Paul alongside me in that season felt like having steady ground when everything else felt uncertain. He helped bring clarity when my thoughts were overwhelming and he didn’t just give opinions, he gave perspective that helped me actually see things more clearly instead of reacting emotionally. Spiritually, he had a way of pointing me back to truth without making it heavy or confusing. Mentally, he helped me slow down, think straight, and not get lost in overwhelm or pressure. More than anything, his presence felt like wise counsel I could trust. No judgment but just simple grounded, honest guidance that helped me make better decisions and stay more aligned with what mattered.

What, if anything, felt different about the way Paul listened, responded or supported you?

What felt different about Paul was the sincerity behind his motives. He didn’t listen just to respond or to fix things quickly, he actually listened in a way that made me feel seen and understood. When he responded, it wasn’t rushed or surface level. He took the time to think, reflect and what he said carried weight because it came from genuine care, not obligation. There was a calmness in how he supported me that made it easier and be honest/vulnerable in what I was going through. What stood out most is that his kindness wasn’t dependent on what I could offer. Even when I had nothing to give back, he still treated me with respect, patience, and genuine heart. That kind of consistency made his support feel real and meaningful, not conditional that meant a lot to me.
